Teenager Critically Injured in Holon Explosion, Grenade Suspected
A 15-year-old boy sustained critical injuries in Holon on Monday, apparently from a grenade explosion. Police are investigating whether the explosive device was thrown into the apartment where the teenager was located, or if he was injured while playing with it. Emergency medical services provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting him to the hospital.
Magen David Adom (MDA) received the initial report at 12:11 PM. "We saw the teenager conscious and suffering from severe injuries to his body," said MDA paramedic Noam Barzani. "We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital with his condition serious."
The police reported receiving a call at 100 about an explosion heard on Sanhedrin Street in Holon, with an injured person being evacuated. "Upon receiving the report, police forces from the Holon station in the Ayalon region, along with police sappers, arrived at the scene and began investigating the circumstances of the incident and conducting searches. At this stage, the source of the explosion and the circumstances of the incident are being examined."
