Israeli Election Committee Approves Party Designations for Upcoming Vote
The Central Elections Committee has approved the 38 candidate lists and their corresponding ballot letters for the upcoming elections, 19 days after the initial submission deadline. Several parties retained their established letters, including Shas (represented by the Hebrew letters Chet-Samech), United Torah Judaism (Gimel), and the Likud (Mem-Chaf).
New designations were assigned to other lists: "Derech" (Path) will be represented by the letter Yud-Aleph, associated with former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot's party. "Rak" (Only) will be the designation for Naftali Bennett's party, and "Bet" will be used by Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power).
Additionally, two lists were approved conditionally, and two candidacies were disqualified. The committee's decisions finalize the ballot appearance for voters ahead of the election.
