Dozens of Israeli hikers have been stranded since Tuesday night in the Nepalese village of Samagaon, located in the Manaslu region of the Himalayas, due to extreme weather and rockfalls that have blocked access routes. The village is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, and according to the stranded hikers, there is no electricity.
Several rockfalls occurred near the buildings where the Israelis are staying overnight. One Israeli told Kan News, "Every few hours we hear a huge boom, as if the whole earth is collapsing." The group of Israelis is staying in the village alongside travelers from other countries and local residents.
The Israelis expressed concern about remaining in the area given the weather conditions and ongoing rockfalls, stating, "We are afraid to spend another night here."
