Dozens of Israelis Stranded in Nepal Village After Landslides

Dozens of Israeli travelers have been stranded since Saturday night in the village of Samagaon, located at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters in Nepal's Manaslu region of the Himalayas. Extreme weather and rockfalls have blocked access routes to the area. According to the Israelis, the village has no electricity, and several landslides occurred near their accommodations overnight. "Every few hours we hear a huge boom, as if the whole earth is collapsing," one traveler told Kan News. The group includes dozens of Israelis along with foreign travelers and local residents.

Travelers report that some roads and bridges in the area are impassable, severely limiting options for leaving the village by land. Insurance companies and local tour agencies have been activated to arrange a rescue, but evacuating everyone is not currently possible. Reports from the ground have been confirmed by Nepalese media. A landslide above Samagaon occurred early this morning following days of heavy rain, waking hundreds of travelers and staff in the village. No injuries have been reported in the village as of this morning.

The incident in Samagaon is part of a severe weather system affecting Nepal in recent days. Heavy rains have caused landslides and floods in many parts of the country, blocking roads and washing away bridges. At least six people have been killed and five are missing in various incidents across Nepal.
