Netanyahu to Meet 10 World Leaders in NYC, Skips Trump and Musk

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled for a brief visit to New York City, where he will address the United Nations General Assembly and hold meetings with leaders from ten different countries. Notably, planned discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk have been excluded from his itinerary. The prime minister's trip was shortened following the cancellation of his previously scheduled meetings with Trump at the UN General Assembly and Musk in Texas.

Despite these changes, the Prime Minister's Office has confirmed that several bilateral meetings will proceed as planned. According to the schedule released by the office, Netanyahu will meet with the presidents of Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama, and Ethiopia, as well as the vice president of Colombia. Additionally, meetings are set with the prime ministers of Greece, Slovenia, and Papua New Guinea.

The Prime Minister's Office stated that numerous foreign leaders had requested meetings. However, due to a tight schedule and the need for Netanyahu to return to Israel before the start of the Sukkot holiday, only a portion of these requests could be accommodated. Netanyahu's address to the UN General Assembly is slated for 9:00 PM Israeli time. He is expected to return to Israel immediately after concluding his engagements.

Separately, an unusual incident occurred near the hotel where Netanyahu was to stay in New York on September 23rd. Three unidentified individuals emerged from a manhole on Park Avenue around 4:30 AM local time and fled in two vehicles.
