IDF Eliminates Hamas Finance Chief in Khan Younis Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Wednesday the elimination of Mohammed Abu Alwan, identified as the head of Hamas's finance department, in an airstrike in Khan Younis.
According to the IDF, Abu Alwan began his Hamas activities approximately ten years ago. In his role within the finance department, he was responsible for budgeting across all Hamas operational arrays. The military stated that under his direction, more than one billion shekels were transferred to fund Hamas's operations throughout the ongoing war.
The strike is part of the IDF's broader operations in the Gaza Strip, targeting key figures within the Hamas organization.
