IDF Confirms Killing Hamas Finance Chief in Khan Younis Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency confirmed on Tuesday the elimination of Hamas's finance department head, Mahmoud Abu Alwan, in an airstrike in Khan Younis. According to an IDF spokesperson, Abu Alwan began his activities about a decade ago and was responsible for budgeting all of Hamas's systems.
During the recent conflict, Abu Alwan, under his direction, transferred over one billion shekels to fund Hamas's operations. The IDF stated that he was a crucial figure in maintaining Hamas's governance and survival.
