Osher Ad Slashes iPhone 18 Pro Prices Through Parallel Import
Israeli supermarket chain Osher Ad has launched a significant price reduction on the iPhone 18 Pro (256GB), offering it for 4,490 shekels. This price is considerably lower than that of official importers and major electronics retailers.
The chain acquired thousands of units through parallel import channels and is selling them across ten branches nationwide, including Beer Sheva, Hadera, Netanya, Afula, Petah Tikva, Rishon Le Zion, and Jerusalem's Talpiot neighborhood.
The iPhones are available in five colors: purple, silver, black, white, and blue. They come with a 12-month warranty from DCS Israel. Notably, these are models intended for the US market and exclusively use eSIM technology, lacking a physical SIM card tray. Apple's decision to omit the physical SIM slot allows for a larger battery and enhanced water and dust resistance.
This eSIM-only feature is not expected to pose an issue for Israeli consumers, as all local mobile carriers currently support digital eSIM activation via QR code scanning. This move by Osher Ad follows a trend from the previous year, where retail chains engaged in price wars by importing previous iPhone models, the iPhone 17, through parallel import.
