Cyclist, 30, Dies After Collision With Truck at Zichron Yaakov Junction
A cyclist, approximately 30 years old, was killed on Tuesday after being struck by a truck at the Zichron Yaakov junction. Emergency medical personnel from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts on the cyclist, who was found unconscious on the side of the road with no pulse or respiration. The cyclist had sustained severe, multi-system injuries.
Despite the extensive resuscitation attempts, MDA paramedics were forced to declare the cyclist's death at the scene. The exact circumstances surrounding the collision have not yet been released.
"The cyclist was lying on the side of the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing," described MDA emergency medical technician Yosef Friedman. "We performed resuscitation efforts, but his injuries were critical, and we had to pronounce him dead at the scene."
