Cyclist Dies After Collision With Truck on Highway 4
A fatal accident occurred on Tuesday on Highway 4 near the Zichron Yaakov junction when a cyclist, approximately 30 years old, was struck by a truck. Emergency medical services, including Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. They found the cyclist unconscious with no pulse or respiration and immediately began resuscitation efforts. Despite their attempts, the severity of the cyclist's injuries, described as multisystem trauma, was too great, and they were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
An MDA emergency medical responder, Yosef Friedman, described the scene, stating, "The cyclist lay on the side of the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. We performed CPR, but his injury was critical, and we had to pronounce him dead at the scene."
