Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Collision on Highway 4 Near Yavne Interchange
A pedestrian in his 50s was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 4 near the Yavne interchange. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts, but the man succumbed to severe multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the site. MDA paramedic Guy Barali and motorcycle medic Roni Raviv described the incident as severe, noting the pedestrian was found lying on the road with critical trauma.
Following the accident, Highway 4 was closed southbound from the Gan Rave interchange, with traffic redirected to Highway 42. Additionally, Highway 20 was closed southbound from the Mevo Ayalon interchange, diverting vehicles to Highway 431. The National Traffic Police are managing the scene and have urged drivers to use navigation apps, follow police instructions, and drive cautiously and patiently.
