Electric Bicycle Rider Killed in Truck Collision Near Zichron Yaakov
An approximately 30-year-old electric bicycle rider was killed Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a truck at the Zichron Yaakov junction on Highway 4.
Emergency medical responder Yusef Friedman from Magen David Adom described finding the cyclist lying on the side of the road, unconscious, with no pulse or respiration. "We performed resuscitation efforts, but his injuries were critical, and we were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene," Friedman stated.
The incident occurred on Highway 4, a major north-south route in Israel. The collision involved an electric bicycle and a truck. The rider sustained fatal injuries, and paramedics were unable to save his life.
