Teenager Killed in Violent Altercation and Hit-and-Run at Hadera Shopping Center
A 17-year-old boy was killed early Friday morning in a violent incident at the "Hof Hacarmel Village" shopping complex in Hadera. The incident began as a brawl between several individuals, escalating when the teenager was struck and critically injured by a vehicle. Paramedics attempted to save him, but he later succumbed to his wounds.
Shortly after or during the vehicle collision, gunfire erupted at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was hit by bullets and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center for treatment under police guard. The driver reportedly claimed he did not realize he had hit anyone. The investigation suggests a group of Jewish individuals fired at the Arab driver.
Large police forces responded to the scene, securing the area and collecting forensic evidence and security camera footage. The investigation has been assigned to the Central Unit of the Menashe District. Police have stated that all security-related suspicions have been ruled out, and the incident is being treated as a criminal matter.
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. The initial reports from paramedics described treating a young man, approximately 20 years old, who was hit by a commercial vehicle and required life-saving resuscitation efforts before being evacuated to the hospital in critical condition.
