Third IDF Soldier Killed in Tank Blast in Southern Lebanon Identified
The Israel Defense Forces on Friday cleared for publication the name of a third soldier killed in the tank explosion that occurred overnight between Thursday and Friday in southern Lebanon. He was Sgt. Maj. Liav Kababia, 20, from Hod Hasharon.
Kababia served as an armored corps fighter in Battalion 52, part of the 401st Armored Brigade, known as the “Iron Tracks” formation. He was killed in combat in southern Lebanon.
His name was released after the army had already announced two other fatalities from the same tank blast. The report gives no additional details about the circumstances of the explosion.
