Weekend Weather Shift: Cooler Temperatures and Rain Expected

Israel is set for a significant weather change this weekend, moving from unseasonably warm conditions to cooler temperatures and potential rainfall. Thursday is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures remaining higher than average for this time of year across most of the country. It will be particularly warm and dry inland and in the mountains, and humid along the coast.

On Friday, skies will become partly cloudy, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland areas, where they will return to seasonal averages. Localized rain showers are forecast for northern and central Israel, with a possibility of isolated thunderstorms in the north. Winds are also expected to strengthen in most regions.

Saturday will continue with partly cloudy skies and a slight further decrease in temperatures. Light, scattered rain or drizzle may occur in northern Israel and along the coastal plain until the afternoon. Sunday morning will see partly cloudy conditions with possible drizzle along the coast, clearing to fair weather later in the day. Temperatures will rise slightly, returning to seasonal norms in most areas.

Temperature highs for Friday are predicted to be around 31°C in Tel Aviv and Ashdod, 30°C in Haifa and Ashkelon, 33°C in Jerusalem, 36°C in Beersheba, 32°C in Mitzpe Ramon, and 37°C in Afula.
