Israel Braces for Weekend Rain as Unusual System Moves South
Following several warm days, a brief rain system is expected to arrive in parts of Israel this coming weekend. The Israel Meteorological Service announced updated details on Thursday, stating that rainfall will commence in the northern regions on Thursday night, continuing into Friday.
The precipitation is forecast to spread southward, reaching central Israel by Friday morning. The rain is expected to last until the afternoon hours on Friday before ceasing. The Meteorological Service anticipates approximately 5-10 millimeters of rain in the north, with localized areas in the Galilee and along the northern coast potentially receiving up to 15 millimeters. Central Israel is expected to see lesser amounts, around 5 millimeters, primarily on Friday morning.
