IDF Kills Islamic Jihad Rocket Commander Involved in October 7 Attacks
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Muhsen Farid Said Abu al-Hadab, a commander in the Islamic Jihad's rocket unit, who participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on the Kissufim area. The strike, carried out by an airstrike, occurred late last week in Khan Younis.
According to the IDF, Abu al-Hadab had recently been involved in planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and had systematically violated ceasefire agreements. The military stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties prior to the strike, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF emphasized that Abu al-Hadab's elimination is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas and Islamic Jihad infrastructure and prevent future attacks.
