IDF Eliminates Palestinian Islamic Jihad Rocket Unit Leader Tied to Oct. 7 Massacre
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) rocket unit commander, Muhsen Farid Said Abu Dhaf, who participated in the October 7th massacre in the Kissufim area. The strike occurred last weekend in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
According to the IDF, Abu Dhaf was responsible for advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians, systematically violating the ceasefire. His elimination was carried out to neutralize the threat he posed.
Prior to the strike, measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. Forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats.
