Israeli Military Finds Hezbollah Rocket Launchers Near Lebanon Border
The Israeli military (IDF) announced Tuesday that soldiers discovered 32 rockets prepared for launch towards Israel in southern Lebanon. The discovery was made by reserve brigade 55, operating under the 91st division, during operations in the Lebanese security zone aimed at neutralizing threats to Israel. Soldiers found a Hezbollah post containing a well and ready-to-use rocket launchers loaded with the 32 projectiles. The IDF stated the weapons were likely abandoned before the current ceasefire agreement took effect. Israeli forces subsequently destroyed the launch site, including the well, launchers, and rockets. The military affirmed its commitment to preventing Hezbollah from harming Israeli citizens or soldiers, while also adhering to the ceasefire.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to address threats emanating from Lebanon, following previous discoveries of Hezbollah infrastructure, such as tunnels. The IDF reiterated its determination to act against such threats.
