Top Hamas Khan Yunis Commander Killed in Israeli Airstrike
The commander of Hamas's Khan Yunis brigade, Muhammad al-Azzouri, also known as Abu al-Haytham, was killed in an Israeli airstrike overnight near the Al-Quba mosque in Khan Yunis. Al-Azzouri was considered a figure of equivalent importance to a regional commander in the IDF. Two other militants, including engineer Hudhayfah Ammar, were killed alongside him.
In a separate strike on a vehicle in the Hamad neighborhood of Khan Yunis, Moamen Abu Labada was eliminated. In total, nine Gazans were killed in IDF strikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The strikes are part of ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
