Israel Braces for Unseasonably Warm Holiday Weather
Israel is set to experience temperatures significantly warmer than average for the upcoming holiday period. The weather forecast indicates a heatwave is expected to begin on Sunday and persist through the holiday week.
Temperatures will rise across the country, reaching highs of 30-32 degrees Celsius (86-90 degrees Fahrenheit) in coastal areas and potentially up to 37 degrees Celsius (99 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions. Inland areas and mountainous regions will also see above-average temperatures.
The public is advised to take precautions against the heat, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the hottest parts of the day. The warm weather is attributed to a heat dome effect, trapping hot air over the region.
