Israel Weather Forecast: Warm Conditions Ahead of Rosh Hashanah Holiday

Temperatures across Israel are expected to remain warm on Friday, September 11, the eve of Rosh Hashanah, with a slight decrease of one degree. Nighttime coolness is not anticipated, particularly along the coast. Sea temperatures will be around 30 degrees Celsius in the Mediterranean, with waves ranging from weak to noticeable (30-70 cm). The Sea of Galilee will see water temperatures up to 31 degrees Celsius with moderate waves (30-60 cm), while the Red Sea in Eilat will be 28 degrees Celsius with weak waves (20-40 cm).

Daytime highs will reach 30-31 degrees Celsius in coastal cities like Tel Aviv, Netanya, and Haifa, and slightly cooler in Jerusalem at 30 degrees. Inland, cities such as Afula, Tiberias, and Kiryat Shmona will experience highs of 35 degrees Celsius. The Dead Sea area, including Ein Gedi, will be the hottest with daytime temperatures reaching 36 degrees, and Eilat in the south will see highs of 38 degrees Celsius.

Saturday is expected to see no significant changes in weather patterns. On Sunday, a slight increase in temperatures is forecast.
