New Party Passes Threshold, Likud Hits 16-Month Low in Israeli Poll

A new political party, "Amcha Israel" led by Ofer Winter, has successfully crossed the electoral threshold, potentially bolstering the current coalition government by three seats and bringing its total to 50 mandates. Conversely, the Likud party has seen its support dip by one seat to 19 mandates, its lowest point since May 29, 2025, according to a "Maariv" poll conducted by Lazar Research.

"Amcha Israel" is projected to win four mandates, with its gains coming at the expense of "HaMiluimnikim VeHaKalkalit," led by Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelikha, which failed to pass the electoral threshold with 3% of the vote. The poll also indicated a decrease in undecided voters, from 11% to 7.5%.

Other parties' projected seat allocations include "Yesher!" with 25 mandates, "BeYachad" with 14, "HaDemokratim" with 10, Yisrael Beiteinu with 9, Otzma Yehudit with 8, and United Torah Judaism, Shas, and the Joint Arab List each with 7 mandates. Ra'am and Religious Zionism-Identity are each projected to receive 5 mandates.

Parties such as Blue and White, Noam LeYisrael, and HaTzibur HaHaredi did not pass the electoral threshold. The opposition bloc is projected to hold 58 mandates, while Arab parties collectively secure 12.

In head-to-head matchups for prime minister, Gadi Eisenkot leads Benjamin Netanyahu 50% to 38%, and Naftali Bennett leads Netanyahu 45% to 40%. The survey also revealed that 79% of respondents would remain in Israel even if their preferred party is not in power.

The poll was conducted on September 9-10, with a sample size of 601 respondents out of 4,329 invited, representing a margin of error of 4%.
