Apple Unveils iPhone 18 Lineup, First Foldable iPhone, and New Wearables
Apple held its latest product launch event on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, introducing the iPhone 18 Pro series, its first-ever foldable smartphone dubbed iPhone Duo, and updated Apple Watch and AirPods models. This event marked the first major presentation led by CEO John Turnus, with a significant focus on advancements in artificial intelligence and user data privacy.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are powered by the new Apple A20 Pro chip. Both devices feature an upgraded 48-megapixel main camera with a variable aperture and support for SynthID photo authentication standards. Reuters reported that the base prices in the U.S. have increased by $100, starting at $1199 for the Pro model and $1299 for the Pro Max, a rise attributed to increased memory chip costs.
A major highlight was the iPhone Duo, Apple's inaugural foldable phone, boasting a 5.4-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal screen, priced from $1999.
In Israel, pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will begin on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM via the iDigital network's website and three pilot stores. Other branches will accept pre-orders after the upcoming holiday. Full sales are scheduled to commence on Friday, September 18, 2026, across all iDigital stores and online, including a two-year warranty and a Trade-In program.
