Apple Unveils New iPhone 18 Lineup, First Foldable Phone, and Pricing in Israel

Apple officially launched its latest flagship devices, including the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and for the first time, a foldable smartphone called the iPhone Duo. The new models feature significant camera upgrades, advanced processors, improved performance, and expanded storage options. This year marks a historic moment for Israel as it was included in the initial global launch phase, with pre-orders beginning September 12 and devices arriving on September 18. The foldable iPhone is expected to arrive in Israel at a later date.

Pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro in Israel starts at 5,399 NIS for the entry-level model, with 512GB costing 6,299 NIS and 1TB priced at 7,999 NIS. The top-tier 2TB version will retail for 10,699 NIS. The iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at 5,899 NIS for the 256GB model, rising to 6,699 NIS for 512GB and 8,499 NIS for 1TB. The 2TB Pro Max model is priced at 10,999 NIS.

Despite Apple increasing prices globally by $100 to $500, iStore CEO Chaim Zaguri noted that due to the favorable dollar exchange rate in Israel, the price increase locally is more moderate compared to last year's launch. The event also saw Apple CEO Tim Cook transition to an active chairman role after 15 years, with John Ternus taking over as CEO. Alongside the new iPhones, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, equipped with an S11 chip and advanced health sensors, as well as the fifth generation of AirPods with improved noise cancellation.

The launch event in Cupertino also highlighted Apple's continued focus on artificial intelligence and health technology through its new wearable devices and audio products.
