New iPhone Prices in Israel Spark Sticker Shock
Apple's latest iPhone models, the 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and the first-ever foldable iPhone Duo, are launching in Israel simultaneously with the global release, a departure from previous years where Israeli consumers faced significant delays. Pre-orders begin this Saturday, September 12th, with device delivery commencing on Friday, September 18th, alongside the new Apple Watch Series 12 and AirPods 5.
Official pricing has been revealed by major retailers and cellular carriers, with the iPhone 18 Pro starting at 5,399 shekels for the 256GB model and reaching up to 10,699 shekels for the 2TB version. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max is priced from 5,899 shekels for 256GB to 10,999 shekels for 2TB. iStore CEO Chaim Zaguri noted that despite Apple increasing prices in the US, a favorable exchange rate allowed for only a moderate price hike compared to last year.
Pelephone has also released its pricing, showing some differences, particularly for higher storage capacities. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at 5,399 shekels (256GB) and the Pro Max at 5,999 shekels (256GB). Pelephone is offering incentives for pre-orders, including a lifetime warranty and a backup battery. The foldable iPhone Duo, however, will launch later, with pre-orders starting October 16th and official release on October 23rd. Its pricing ranges from 8,199 shekels for 256GB to a high of 12,199 shekels for the 2TB model.
Competitors like Partner are engaging in aggressive marketing, promising to match any price offered by KSP and providing a three-year warranty. KSP has stated that launch dates and prices will only be revealed on the official sales day. Partner is also offering trade-in deals of up to 4,300 shekels and discounts on Apple Watches. Other retailers like iDigital and MASHBIRI CHASHMAL are also preparing for pre-orders.
