Opposition Parties Sign Surplus Vote Agreements Ahead of Elections

Several opposition parties, referred to as the "change bloc," announced on Thursday the signing of surplus vote agreements. These agreements allow parties to transfer unused votes to another party on their electoral list, aiming to maximize their representation in the Knesset. The "Yesh!" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, will cooperate with Yair Golan's "Democrats" party. Additionally, Naftali Bennett's "Yisrael Beitenu" party signed an agreement with Avigdor Lieberman's "Yisrael Beiteinu" party. The stated goal of these agreements is to replace the government perceived as failing during the October 7th events. The opposition coalition aims to present a united front against the current government.
