Arkia Launches Direct Flights to Manila, Israir Adds New York Service

Arkia Airlines is expanding its reach in the Far East with the launch of a new direct flight route to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The inaugural flight is scheduled for January 3, 2027, operating weekly on Sundays. The journey from Tel Aviv to Manila will take approximately 11 hours, with the return flight lasting about 12 hours and 20 minutes. These flights will utilize an Airbus A330 aircraft.

Ticket prices will start at $750 for a one-way economy class ticket and $1,800 for business class. Arkia's CEO, Oz Berlowitz, stated that the Manila route is a significant step in deepening the company's operations in the Far East and aligns with its strategic plan to open new destinations and expand direct flight options from Israel. The airline will also offer a unique culinary experience curated by company chef Shahaf Shabtai, tailored to Eastern tastes. This new route joins Arkia's existing destinations in the region, including New York, Bangkok, Phuket, Hanoi, and Tokyo.

In parallel, Israir Airlines will commence direct flights to New York starting September 15. This service is timed to meet the demand of Israeli travelers during the upcoming holiday season. Arkia had previously initiated its own flight service to New York over a year ago.
