Eyal Golan's 'Science Fiction' Tops Israeli Radio Airplay Charts

The song "Mada Bidyoni," also known as "Science Fiction," performed by Eyal Golan, was the most played song on Israeli radio stations during the Hebrew year 5786. This ranking comes from the annual report released by ACUM, the Israeli organization responsible for protecting the rights of authors, composers, and publishers. The track, written by Avi Ohayon and composed with Idan Shneor and Matan Dror, surpassed "Of Muzar" ("Strange Bird") by Peer Tasi for the top spot. Noam Bettan's "Michelle," which was featured in the Eurovision 2026 competition, secured third place. Several other songs by Peer Tasi also appeared on the list, alongside tracks from prominent artists including Osher Cohen, Odeya Azoulay, Omer Adam, Hanan Ben Ari, Noa Kirel, and Idan Amedi, who were among the most frequently broadcast artists of the year.

Eyal Golan also led the male performer category, ahead of Omer Adam and the late Arik Einstein. Sarit Hadad maintained her position as the most played female artist, followed by Eden Ben Zaken and Odeya Azoulay. For the eighth consecutive year, Avi Ohayon was recognized as the most broadcast songwriter on Israeli radio. Tslil Klifi topped the list of female authors, partly due to her contribution to the song "Michelle."

The rankings were compiled using the AcumOnAir system, which monitors broadcasts from 34 licensed national and regional radio stations across Israel.
