Eyal Golan's 'Science Fiction' Tops Israeli Radio Airplay Charts for 2025-2026

The Israeli Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ACUM), celebrating its 90th anniversary, has released its year-end report for the Hebrew calendar year 5786 (roughly 2025-2026), detailing the most played songs on Israeli radio. According to data from the AcumOnAir system, which monitors 34 licensed national and regional radio stations, the song 'Science Fiction' performed by Eyal Golan was the most frequently played.

The hit song 'Science Fiction' was written by Avi Ohayon and co-composed with Idan Shenar and Matan Dror, who also arranged the track. Coming in second place was 'Strange Bird' by Peir Tasi, followed by 'MICHELLE' performed by Noam Boton, which was noted as having placed second in the Eurovision 2026 competition held in Vienna.

In the category of creators, Avi Ohayon maintained his position as the most played songwriter and composer in Israel for the eighth consecutive year. Tslil Kalifi, a co-writer of 'MICHELLE', was recognized as the most played female creator. Among male performers, Eyal Golan led the charts, followed by Omer Adam, Arik Einstein, Shlomo Artzi, and Peir Tasi. Sarit Hadad retained her top spot as the most played female artist, with Eden Ben Zaken, Odia Azulai, Agam Buhbut, Yehudit Ravitz, and Noa Kirel rounding out the list.

ACUM's CEO, Assaf Nachum, stated that 5786 was a productive year for Israeli music and pledged ACUM's continued support for creators. Chairman of the ACUM Board, Yoav Ginai, emphasized the organization's decades-long role in strengthening the music industry and protecting creative rights, wishing creators a peaceful and productive new year.
