Eyal Golan's 'Science Fiction' Tops Israeli Radio Airplay Charts

The Israeli music industry has released its annual airplay report, with Eyal Golan's song "Science Fiction" named the most played track on radio for the Hebrew year 5786. The report, compiled by AcumOnAir, which monitors 34 national and regional radio stations, highlights the year's most popular music.

"Science Fiction," written by Avi Ohayon, Matan Dror, and Idan Shneur, with lyrics by Ohayon and arrangement by Dror, secured the top spot. Following closely in second place was "Strange Bird" by Peir Tasi, and "MICHELLE" by Noam Batan, a song that also achieved second place in Eurovision 2026, rounded out the top three.

Other notable songs in the top 20 included Peir Tasi's "What Will Be Tomorrow" at number four, and Osher Cohen's "Everyone is a Thief" at number five. The list also featured songs by Odia Azulai, Omer Adam, Hanan Ben Ari, Ben Tzur, Yehoram Gaon, Subliminal, The Six Day War, Noa Kirel, Eden Ben Zaken, and Idan Raichel.

In the overall artist rankings, Eyal Golan also took the first position, followed by Omer Adam and the late Arik Einstein. Shlomo Artzi and Peir Tasi completed the top five. Among female artists, Sarit Hadad led the list, with Eden Ben Zaken and Odia Azulai in second and third place, respectively.

Behind the scenes, songwriter Avi Ohayon continued his dominance, topping the charts as the most played creator for the eighth consecutive year. Matan Dror and Tal Kastiel secured the second and third spots among creators, while Tzlil Kalfi was named the most played female creator.

Acum CEO Assaf Nahum and Chairman of the Board Yoav Ginai celebrated a productive year for original music and pledged to continue protecting copyright and strengthening the industry.
