Shas Party Unveils Knesset Election List Led by Aryeh Deri
The Sephardic Haredi party Shas has revealed its candidate list for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. The list received approval on Monday from the Council of Torah Sages, the party's spiritual leadership.
Aryeh Deri, the party chairman, will head the list, followed by Yinon Azoulay, Michael Malkieli, Yoav Ben-Tzur, and Haïm Biton. Other notable placements include Dror Amos in sixth position, followed by Moshe Abutbul, Uriel Buso, Yossef Taïeb, and Yonatan Mishraki. The final announced positions went to Yossef Elnatanov, Erez Malul, and Simon Moshiachvili.
Shas stated its intention to continue the work of its outgoing Knesset members, praising their "dedication and loyalty." The party also aims to incorporate new figures into its parliamentary group.
