Poll Shows Narrowing Gap Between Israeli Political Blocs
A new poll released by Midgam for Channel 12 News indicates a shrinking gap between the right-wing bloc and the bloc opposing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, just one day before candidate lists must be finalized for the upcoming election. The right-wing bloc is projected to win 52 seats, while the bloc opposing Netanyahu is forecast to secure 57 seats.
If elections were held today, the "Yesh!" party would emerge as the largest faction with 25 seats, followed by the Likud party with 21 seats. The "Yamina" alliance led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid is predicted to receive 13 seats. Other parties projected to pass the electoral threshold include the Democrats with 11 seats, Yisrael Beiteinu with 8, United Torah Judaism with 8, the Joint List with 7, Shas with 7, Otzma Yehudit with 6, the Religious Zionism party with 6, Ra'am with 4, and Ofer Winter's "Am Yisrael" party with 4 seats.
