Right-Wing Bloc Leads with 63 Seats as Netanyahu Tops PM Preference in New Poll
A new poll by News 14, conducted on August 24, 2026, shows a clear lead for the right-wing bloc in Israel's political landscape. The right-wing coalition is projected to secure 63 seats, ensuring a parliamentary majority, while the left-wing bloc trails with 47 seats. Arab parties collectively hold 10 seats.
The Likud party remains the largest single party with 32 seats, followed by the Yisrael party with 24 seats. Other parties include Shas with 10 seats, the Democrats with 9, Otzma Yehudit and United Torah Judaism each with 8, Israel Beiteinu and Beyachad with 7 each, and Religious Zionism, Ra'am, and Hadash-Ta'al-Balad each with 5 seats. Several parties and candidates, including Ofer Winter with 2.1%, fall below the electoral threshold.
Regarding the preferred candidate for prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu leads significantly with 52% support, compared to 36% for Gadi Eisenkot, 7% for Naftali Bennett, and 5% for Avigdor Lieberman. In a direct head-to-head matchup, Netanyahu holds 56% against Eisenkot's 44%.
