New Poll Shows Netanyahu Bloc Edging Out Rival for First Time
A new poll released by Kantar Institute for Kan 11 on Sunday, September 6, indicates that the "Yashar" party would be the largest faction in the Knesset if elections were held today, securing 23 seats. The "Likud" party follows with 20 seats, and "Be'ahad" with 17.
Other parties' projected seat allocations include "Democratim" with 8, "Yahadut HaTorah" with 8, Shas with 7, "Otzma Yehudit" with 7, "Yisrael Beiteinu" with 7, the joint list of Arab parties with 7, Ra'am with 6, "Tzionut Datit" with 6, "Amcha Israel" with 4, and Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zaliha with 4.
Significantly, for the first time in recent weeks, the bloc of parties supporting Benjamin Netanyahu has surpassed the bloc led by Gabi Ashkenazi, with Netanyahu's bloc projected to win 52 seats compared to Ashkenazi's bloc. This calculation excludes the seats allocated to Arab parties and the Hendel-Zaliha list.
