Payment App Bit Suffers Widespread Outage, Users Report Errors
Users of the popular Israeli payment application Bit reported widespread service disruptions on Tuesday evening, preventing them from accessing the app and conducting transactions. The issues began with users unable to log in, encountering error messages stating, "Information could not be loaded, try again."
Bank Hapoalim, the operator of the Bit app, confirmed the malfunction. "We are currently identifying a malfunction affecting the operation of the Bit app. The issue is being handled, and the teams at Bit are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience," a bank spokesperson stated.
This is not the first time the app has experienced significant issues. In June, a similar outage occurred, leaving users unable to access services, transfer funds, or receive payments for over two hours before it was resolved.
