Bit Payment App Suffers Widespread Outage, Users Report
The popular Israeli payment application Bit, operated by Bank Hapoalim, experienced a significant outage on Monday evening, preventing users from accessing the service. Users attempting to log in were met with an error message stating, "Information could not be loaded, please try again." This is not the first time the app has faced disruptions; in June, a similar outage lasting approximately two and a half hours affected users, causing failures in money transfers and issues with customer service.
During the current malfunction, the app displayed a message apologizing for the temporary problem and assuring users that the issue was being addressed and that they should try again shortly. The recurring technical difficulties raise questions about the app's reliability.
