Users Report Glitches with Popular Israeli Payment App Bit
Users of the "Bit" payment application, operated by Bank Hapoalim, reported experiencing service disruptions on Monday evening. The malfunction reportedly causes error messages to appear when users attempt to perform transactions, with some operations failing to complete.
Bit is one of Israel's primary money transfer applications. The extent of the current outage and its cause remain unclear.
This is not the first technical issue to affect the Bit app in recent months. In late July, users encountered a similar problem where they were unable to access the application, receiving a "data could not be loaded" message until service was restored.
Bank Hapoalim acknowledged the issue, stating, "We are currently identifying a malfunction affecting the operation of the Bit application. The issue is being handled, and the teams at Bit are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience."
