Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment in the Nazareth District Court against Moshe Saada, 65, from Safed, accusing him of a series of grave offenses against seven minors while he taught at the "Pirchei Kehuna" Talmud Torah in the city. The article notes that this is not MK Moshe Saada from Likud, who has the same name.
According to the indictment submitted by attorneys Marina Rosenfeld and Tom Ya'ari, Saada, who was a teacher and educator, carried out the abuses between 2010 and 2026. The alleged victims were boys aged 9 to 12 at the time.
Prosecutors say Saada would bring the children into his classroom, sometimes give them candy or games, lock the door, and then commit the acts. In some cases, he allegedly ordered the children to massage his back or shoulders, using their innocence and the physical closeness to exploit them. The indictment says some of the minors were abused over a long period.
The filing also alleges that after some of the incidents, Saada treated the victim favorably in class and stopped calling the parents to complain about the child's behavior. Some of the offenses were committed using force. The case is now before the court.
