Tiberias Man Indicted for Decades-Old Sexual Abuse of Siblings

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against a man in his 50s from Tiberias, accused of numerous sexual offenses committed against two siblings when they were nine years old, approximately two decades ago. The indictment, submitted to the Haifa District Court, also states that the accused harmed a sister several years later, outside of Israel.

According to the indictment, prepared by attorney Ilana Pikus Roitblatt, the defendant cultivated a close relationship with the siblings' mother, falsely presenting himself as a "therapeutic professional" to gain her trust and that of her children. He allegedly exploited this trust and the children's young age to commit various sexual offenses against them over an extended period and with high frequency. In some instances, he prevented the brother from leaving and instructed him to keep the acts secret.

The charges against the defendant include sodomy of a minor, indecent acts with minors, causing indecent acts with a minor, and false imprisonment. The article also briefly mentions a separate indictment filed two days prior against Majd Malaisha, a 24-year-old from Jenin, for online extortion, threats, and harassment, including sexual offenses and privacy violations against several complainants, some of whom were minors.
