Tiberias Resident Indicted for Sex Offenses Against Children Decades Ago

The State Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against a Tiberias resident, approximately 50 years old, for numerous sex offenses allegedly committed two decades ago against two siblings when they were about nine years old. The indictment also charges him with harming their sister several years later, outside of Israel.

According to the indictment, the accused developed a close relationship with the children's mother, gaining her trust and that of her children, while falsely presenting himself as a therapeutic professional. He is accused of exploiting this relationship and the siblings' young age to commit various sex offenses against them over an extended period and with high frequency.

In some instances, the indictment claims, the accused prevented one of the siblings from leaving the location where they were and instructed him to keep the acts secret. The charges against the defendant include sodomy of a minor, indecent acts with minors, causing indecent acts to a minor, and false imprisonment.

By court order, the name of the accused and any details that could identify the complainants are prohibited from publication. Additionally, publishing the content of the indictment and the arrest request, beyond the details provided in the prosecution's statement, is forbidden.
