Serious Indictments Filed Against Two Southern Israel Residents for Child Sexual Abuse

Two residents of southern Israel, a 23-year-old man from Rahat and a 17-year-old youth from the Negev, face severe indictments for committing serious sexual offenses against minors within their family and community. The indictments were submitted to the Beersheba District Court on August 4, 2026. Due to the involvement of a minor, publication of the indictment details is restricted. The 23-year-old allegedly used his authority and coercion to abuse a girl, leading the prosecution to request his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The 17-year-old is accused of repeatedly raping his nephew starting when the victim was 10 years old and continuing until he was 12, exploiting the age difference. Both suspects were arrested and interrogated prior to the indictment filing.
