Israel Braces for Week of Continued Heat Through Rosh Hashanah Holiday

Israel will experience a week of consistent summer heat, with temperatures remaining high throughout the seven days, including the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday, which begins Friday. No significant temperature fluctuations or relief are expected.

Along the Mediterranean coast, including cities like Nahariya, Haifa, Netanya, Tel Aviv, Ashdod, and Ashkelon, daytime temperatures will hover between 30-31 degrees Celsius, with nighttime lows around 25 degrees. In Jerusalem and the surrounding Judean Hills, Sunday will see temperatures of 29 degrees, rising to 31-32 degrees for the remainder of the week. Nighttime temperatures in the capital will be between 19-20 degrees.

Samaria will experience daytime highs of 30 degrees on Sunday, increasing to 32-33 degrees throughout the week, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 20-21 degrees. The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) region, including Tiberias, will see temperatures of 34 degrees on Sunday, climbing to 36-37 degrees from Monday to Saturday, with nighttime lows between 22-24 degrees.

The Golan Heights will have daytime temperatures of 35-36 degrees all week, with nighttime lows around 20-21 degrees. Northern Galilee, in the Hula Valley near Kiryat Shmona, will also see highs of 35-36 degrees, potentially reaching 38 degrees on Friday, and nighttime lows of 22-23 degrees.

In the northern Negev, including Beersheba, temperatures will be around 34 degrees for most of the week, peaking at 36 degrees on Tuesday. Nighttime temperatures in Beersheba will be 21-22 degrees. The southern resort city of Eilat and its surrounding area will experience 37 degrees on Sunday, rising to 39-40 degrees for the rest of the week, with nighttime temperatures around 28-29 degrees.
