Masked Fans Confront, Curse Beitar Jerusalem Players Ahead of Training

Dozens of masked individuals disrupted a training session for the Beitar Jerusalem soccer team on Saturday evening, verbally abusing players and staff. The group arrived at the team's training facility in Beit Vagan before the session began, causing a commotion for several minutes before leaving. They demanded a victory in the upcoming match against Sakhnin on Monday.

Some fans reportedly entered the locker room area, threw fireworks, and banged on doors, attempting to reach the players. However, some players were already on the field at the time of the incident.

Beitar Jerusalem has had a difficult start to the Premier League season, suffering two heavy defeats: 4-1 against Maccabi Netanya and 3-0 against Hapoel Tel Aviv. The team is under significant pressure due to these losses, with criticism directed at owner Barak Abramov and coach Almog Cohen. The club recognizes that only a win will ease the tension.

There is hope for developments early in the week regarding the potential signing of Colombian player Alexis Serna, whom coach Cohen is keen to acquire. If no progress is made, Beitar will pursue other options.
