Gal Gadot Unsure About Returning as Wonder Woman Due to Family
Israeli actress Gal Gadot has expressed uncertainty about reprising her role as Wonder Woman, citing family commitments as the primary reason. In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gadot, a mother of four, explained that extended filming schedules required for such a large-scale production are difficult to reconcile with her current life.
Gadot first portrayed Wonder Woman in the 2016 film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and subsequently starred in two solo films dedicated to the character. However, the development of a third film featuring her in the role was reportedly halted following the appointment of James Gunn and Peter Safran as heads of DC Studios.
Gadot stated she is grateful for the opportunity to have played the iconic character and wished success to the actress who will eventually take over the role. She also discussed her work on Doug Liman's film "Bitcoin," which utilized artificial intelligence for set design and lighting. Gadot revealed that contract negotiations for the film took approximately six months, with lawyers ensuring AI would not be used to alter her performance or appearance.
While Gadot admitted to having reservations about AI, she acknowledged its increasing integration into the film industry as inevitable. "The train has left the station. Either you work with it, or you completely fall out of the game," she remarked.
