Beitar Jerusalem Sets Condition for Ori Dahan's Transfer to Bnei Sakhnin

Beitar Jerusalem is continuing to trim its squad, with defender Ori Dahan expected to transfer to Bnei Sakhnin. While the clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer, Beitar has imposed an additional condition: Dahan will not be allowed to play against Beitar Jerusalem in their upcoming match on Monday. Dahan, 26, arrived at Bnei Sakhnin's training session on Wednesday but was asked not to participate. Bnei Sakhnin is leaning towards accepting Beitar's condition, though they are disappointed by the demand. Dahan, who has played sparingly in recent years, will depart Beitar after four years to bolster the defense of Bnei Sakhnin, managed by Yossi Abukasis. His potential debut could be against his former team in the match at Doha Stadium next Monday. Dahan initially joined Beitar on loan from Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2022, signing with Maccabi the previous year. He played two more seasons on loan at Beitar before signing permanently in the summer of 2024. In total, he made 97 league appearances for Beitar, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He joins Sakhnin to strengthen their defense, which has been weakened by the season-ending injury to defender Dimitri Kabbara.
