Israel Continues Gaza Violations Amidst Ongoing Siege and Civilian Casualties

The Israeli military has continued its alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 328th consecutive day, coinciding with the ongoing blockade and tightened restrictions on the territory. These actions are exacerbating the humanitarian situation and increasing the suffering of civilians and displaced persons, with reports of casualties and injuries.

Recent military actions included gunfire, artillery shelling, and naval shelling, as well as targeting tents of the displaced and shelters, and demolishing homes and civilian facilities in various areas. Specifically, Israeli artillery shelled the Islamic Gathering street in eastern Khan Younis and the Abu al-Ajeen area southeast of Deir al-Balah, accompanied by helicopter gunfire. In Gaza City, Israeli warships fired towards the coast, while helicopters targeted eastern areas of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. The area around the Al-Sanafor intersection experienced intense artillery shelling, alongside shelling of other eastern areas and gunfire from military vehicles.

In northern Gaza, eastern areas of Beit Lahia were subjected to artillery shelling and intense gunfire from tanks. Southeastern Khan Younis also saw artillery shelling accompanied by helicopter surveillance and gunfire. In central Gaza, Israeli forces demolished residential buildings north of the Al-Bureij refugee camp, with accompanying artillery shelling and helicopter gunfire, while tanks fired on surrounding areas.

These developments occur despite the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump on July 31, 2026, of a new agreement to begin the second phase of the roadmap for Gaza. In Deir al-Balah, a woman died from injuries sustained by Israeli forces' gunfire, according to Al-Aqsa Hospital. Two Palestinians were injured by Israeli army gunfire outside controlled areas in the Jabalia refugee camp, according to a source at Al-Shifa Hospital.
