MK Tali Gottlieb Reportedly Moving Towards Itamar Ben-Gvir's Party

Tali Gottlieb, a Member of Knesset (MK) from the Likud party, is reportedly considering a move to the Otzma Yehudit party led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, amid escalating tensions with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud leadership. Senior Likud officials believe Netanyahu will not prevent Gottlieb's departure and will allow her to join Ben-Gvir's party without repercussions, such as being declared a defector or having to return her funding unit. Ben-Gvir has stated he respects the Prime Minister and expects a similar resolution to Gottlieb's situation as occurred with another MK's move to Likud.

Gottlieb has publicly expressed that she is open to joining another party if offered a realistic position that respects her electoral strength. She stated in a Channel 14 interview that the Prime Minister "doesn't want me in Likud" and that she would consider a concrete offer, adding that if no such offer materializes, she might have to resign from the Knesset. Gottlieb has accused Netanyahu's circle of sidelining her from the Likud campaign and preventing her from securing a senior role in the next government, while asserting her loyalty to Likud and Netanyahu.

Despite her public statements, Gottlieb maintains that she currently has no concrete offer from another party. In response to the political stir, Netanyahu's son, Yair Netanyahu, pointed out Gottlieb's recent public statements indicating her openness to other party offers.
