Gottlieb Accuses Netanyahu of Betrayal Amidst Party Switch Rumors

Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "stabbing her in the back" after she threatened to leave the Likud party if not placed higher on the electoral list. Gottlieb expressed her disappointment following the Likud primaries, having demanded a spot at number 12 on the list, and stated she would consider leaving if this demand was not met. Likud has reportedly rejected her ultimatum.

Simultaneously, reports indicate that Gottlieb is in discussions to join another party, with Otzma Yehudit expressing openness to offering her a place on their Knesset list. However, Otzma Yehudit leader Itamar Ben-Gvir will reportedly only offer Gottlieb a spot if she officially leaves Likud or is removed by the party. Ben-Gvir has not yet announced significant additions to his party's list ahead of the upcoming elections.

The decision regarding Gottlieb's political future is expected soon, as the deadline for submitting party lists for the 26th Knesset is just one week away. If Gottlieb does depart from Likud, it could potentially lead to Minister Gila Gamliel, who was placed in an unrealistic position on the Likud list, being reinstated at number 25.
