Likud MK Tally Gotliv Open to Offers Amidst Rift With Netanyahu

Member of Knesset Tally Gotliv from the Likud party has revealed she is open to receiving offers from other parties, stating she would consider leaving Likud if a "realistic offer" was made. Gotliv, who has been a vocal critic of the judiciary, expressed her frustration in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, August 31, 2026.

She asserted her "immense dedication" to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the right-wing government, claiming she had "laid down on the line" for them. However, she declared she would not tolerate being "trampled" while fighting against what she described as the "rule of officials" and the "outrageous rampage" of the Supreme Court in political, military, and state matters.

Gotliv accused Netanyahu of orchestrating her marginalization within the party, stating he took advice from his circle to "targetedly eliminate" her in the Likud primaries. She attributed her primary ranking to the support of "right-wing Likud members" but blamed reserved spots for her lower position on the list.

She further alleged that Netanyahu has excluded her from the Likud campaign and that campaign staff are briefing against her, portraying her as a weakening force. Despite this, Gotliv reiterated her commitment to achieving right-wing governance and curbing the Supreme Court's authority, which she believes has overstepped its bounds.

Gotliv stated that the Prime Minister decided not to allow her to serve as Justice Minister or even chair the Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee, choosing instead to sideline her. She acknowledged this is his prerogative. She concluded by saying that while no such offer has been made yet, she would seriously consider a realistic proposal from another party that respects her electoral strength and potential to serve in a significant ministerial role.
